When you look at how translation works no matter what if it's dubbed or subbed you are losing a lot of "background" info. What I fear is that most people don't realize this I think Ave look at it as if it's just different sounds for our words. I'm no linguist but what I mean by this is that the basic structure and grammar and the tone and cadence is totally different. Japanese and English are not compatible languages.
Do you speak Japanese then? I've always wondered why people want subbed.Historically the larger reason that people wanted subs was because there was a great deal of poor voice acting talent for the English dubs that's not really the case anymore.
